Job summary

Everett Public Schools, Everett High School in Everett, MA, seeks an Outdoor Track: Head Coach for the upcoming season. The role reports to the Principal and Athletic Director and requires leading practices and contests throughout the school year.

The ideal candidate will have prior outdoor track coaching experience, a bachelor’s degree, CPR certification, and completion of MIAA Coaches Education Class. Stipend position with salary based on contract FY27.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching outdoor track; knowledge of track rules.
• Proven ability to work with students, parents and staff.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPR certification and MIAA education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants to develop sport-specific skills and excellence.
• Maintain records: rosters, injuries, game scores, statistics, reports.
• Offer guidance on scholastic achievement, college entrance, citizenship.
• Recommend equipment, supplies and uniforms as appropriate.
• Ensure student-athletes meet academic eligibility.
• Oversee safety of facilities used by the sport.
• Attend practices and contests; supervise weight room, locker rooms, and gear.
• Develop daily practice plans with warm-up and cool-down.
• Foster community ties to encourage youth participation in sports.
