Job summary

Westfield High School in Westfield, Massachusetts seeks a Boys/Girls Indoor Track Varsity Coach with a winter season role. The stipend aligns with the Westfield Public Schools Unit A contract and is for after-school/evening coaching. Immediate start with funding as noted.

Qualifications

• Emotional stability and ability to be a positive role model for students.
• Knowledge of and ability to teach the theory and practice of track for secondary students.
• Commitment to team play, rules, good sportsmanship and sport knowledge.
• Ability to work cooperatively with coaching staff and school administrators.

Responsibilities

• Be present from the first tryout day until the last day of the season; attend practices or competitions at least five days a week.
• Supervise teams at all times.
• Collect all uniforms and equipment from athletes at season end.
• Maintain fair, unbiased relationships with athletes and consider their welfare.
