RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Operating Room Technician at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. You will prepare ORs, assist surgeons and nurses, and maintain sterile technique to ensure patient safety and efficient procedures.

The position is full-time with an evening shift (11 PM–7 AM). Requires a high school diploma, accredited OR Technician training, AST and BLS certifications, and a dedication to teamwork and continuous learning.

Competenze

• High school diploma and completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician training program.
• Current certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists (AST) and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and sterile technique.

Mansioni

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring instruments and sterile supplies are available and functioning.
• Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and other team members with scrub duties and instrumentation.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention throughout procedures.
• Support patient safety, comfort, and dignity before, during, and after surgery.
• Assist with cleaning, preparation, and turnover of OR instruments and equipment between cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
