Job summary
Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is seeking an evening shift, PRN, Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The role focuses on intraoperative care, planning, directing, and evaluating nursing care for surgical patients, and working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Ideal candidates hold an Associate’s degree in Nursing with NJ RN licensure, ACLS and BLS (or within required timeframes), and continuing education in OR nursing; a
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
- Current New Jersey RN license.
- Evidence of continuing education in OR nursing.
- ACLS certification or completed within 3 months of hire.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care for the surgical patient.
- Intraoperative nurse provides safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary team.
- Promote patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient surgical workflows.
