Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Westwood, NJ is seeking an evening shift, PRN, Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care for the surgical patient.
• Intraoperative nurse provides safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary team.
• Promote patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient surgical workflows.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient.
• The intraoperative nurse provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
• Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the multidisciplinary team.
• The intraoperative nurse promotes patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient surgical workflows.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
• Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – or completed within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
