Primary Purpose

Manage retail operations for the assigned department, making decisions impacting store associates, merchandise quality, presentation, and customer service. Build relations, promote a strong culture aligned with Hannaford Strategy through store huddles, role modeling cultural behaviors, and using all available tools to manage performance. Ensure store appearance, security, safety, and food safety are maintained at high standards. Be accountable for proper control of company assets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper training of associates by certified trainers.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.
• Use RF units as needed.
• Organize product loads and assist with inventory control.
• Conduct performance appraisals.
• Maintain effective work schedules.
• Utilize company tools such as MPP, financial reports, and business systems.
• Follow operational and merchandising standards to maximize profitability.
• Maintain communication within the department and organization.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and food safety standards.
• Understand and address shrink causes and solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Use computers and communication systems.
• Lift up to 20 lbs regularly; up to 60 lbs occasionally; push/pull up to 40 lbs regularly.
• Meet activity standards.

Salary range: $18.95 - $27.25/hr
