Qualifications

• One year of full-time clerical (in a health care setting), secretarial (in a health care setting), or patient care experience.
• Provisional Appointment: in absence of eligible list, temporary provisional appointment may be considered and requires taking examination when next offered.
• 55b/c Appointment: eligible for 55b/c designation with eligibility letter.
• Section 70.1 Transfer: one year of permanent competitive service in a title approved for transfer.
• Posting notes about reviews and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate locations.
• Answer telephones and perform data entry.
• Maintain daily and clinical logs and patient charts.
• Fill out medication tickets and pharmacy requisitions.
• Deliver supplies and records to assigned units.
• Provide information on patient conditions within policy and direct visitors accordingly.
