Qualifications

• Eligible List Appointment: Candidates must be reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for Nursing Station Clerk 1.
• Provisional Appointment: If no eligible list with three or more candidates, a temporary provisional appointment may be considered.
• 55b/c Appointment: This position is eligible for 55b/c designation and are subject to verification of eligibility.
• Section 70.1 Transfer: One year of permanent competitive service in a transferable title is required.
• This position may be designated 55 b/c and is subject to verification of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Orient patient and/or family to unit and provide general information about the unit and hospital.
• Give information on patient condition within policies and direct visitors to locations.
• Process physicians' orders by recording in charts and filling out medication tickets and requisitions.
• Receive new admissions.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and daily/clinic logs.
