Job summary

Albany State University is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Faculty member to provide didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction in undergraduate nursing courses on campus. The role emphasizes teaching quality, curriculum development, and student mentorship.

The position requires a Master of Science in Nursing, an active RN license in Georgia, and a minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience. Doctorate and online teaching experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN from an accredited institution; Baccalaureate degree considered with progress toward graduate degree and experience.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nursing license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned didactic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical nursing courses.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate course content and learning activities consistent with program outcomes, accreditation standards, and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback regarding academic and clinical performance.
• Advise and mentor students regarding academic progress, licensure preparation, and professional development.
• Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and clinical agency partners to support student learning and clinical education.
• Maintain regular office hours and participate in student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives.
• Maintain current RN licensure, required certifications, and clinical competency.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of nursing practice, teaching strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
