Job summary

North Georgia Technical College seeks an ASN Clinical Instructor to guide students in clinical and simulation lab settings on all NGTC campuses. The part-time role involves orienting students, fostering critical thinking, and evaluating progress while coordinating with course faculty and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN and a Georgia RN license; teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited institution.
• Three years of nursing experience within the past five years.
• Georgia RN license in good standing.
• Teaching experience in nursing programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, instruct, and guide students in the clinical and simulation lab setting.
• Complete clinical and simulation orientation and debrief training with the Clinical and Simulation Coordinator.
• Complete orientation to the clinical site/unit prior to first clinical rotation.
• Facilitate development of critical thinking, clinical judgement, decision-making, communication, and professional skills while ensuring safety and confidentiality.
• Engage students in observation, assessment, and education of patients.
• Hold student pre- and post-clinical conferences; evaluate progress and provide timely feedback.
