Job summary

Minnesota Veterans Home - Silver Bay is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for rotating evening and night shifts (3:00pm–11:30pm and 11:00pm–7:30am). The role provides resident care, assessments, and coordination of unit activities.

Schedule includes at least 48 hours per two-week pay period with potential for extra hours based on needs. Successful applicants will hold MN RN license with no restrictions, current BLS/CPR, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing.
• Current BLS or CPR certification through AHA or Red Cross, or ability to be certified by date of hire.
• Effective communication to provide and follow instructions and teach skills to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' needs; implement orders and routines; report and interpret observations and resident behaviors.
• Communicate nursing and health care concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain resident charts and records; coordinate nursing unit activities to ensure consistent care.
