Job summary

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Services Technician to join a dedicated team. The position includes rotating day (7:00am-3:30pm) and evening (3:00pm-11:30pm) shifts, with weekends as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current MDH Nursing Assistant Registry registration is required or must enroll and become registered within four months of hire.
• Willingness to enroll in and complete the home’s Nursing Assistant training course within four months of hire.
• Experience or training in Nursing Assistant roles or testing/registration processes is helpful.
• Ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and take clear notes.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care for residents in a long-term nursing facility.
• Assist with activities of daily living and ensure safety and quality of care.
• Help residents attain highest functional capabilities in a respectful environment.
