Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a patient care attendant in Memphis, TN for evening shift responsibilities in the antepartum department. This role supports nursing staff by performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine patient care while adhering to HIPAA and hospital policies.

The position requires completion of an approved medical assistant or nursing assistant program, with RN pathway possible for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program with documentation of training in EKG and Phlebotomy in lieu of medical assistant training.
• Completion of the course requirements for graduation from a Registered Nursing program, after unsuccessful 2nd attempt of the NCLEX exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care per care plan and policies.
• Perform routine EKGs and obtain/record vitals.
• Collect specimens (urine, stool) and perform phlebotomy duties.
• Document patient information and care in the medical record.
• Provide patient comfort and assist with activities of daily living.
