Job summary

Shelby County Health Care Corporation is seeking a dedicated patient care professional for night shift duties in Memphis, TN. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine care tasks while supporting the patient care plan and ensuring accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, and maintaining patient comfort and safety. Collaborate with staff, uphold HIPAA and compliance, and assist with clerical duties when needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program with EKG and phlebotomy training.
• Coursework toward RN licensure or degree is acceptable when applicable.
• Ability to work with neonatal, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as needed.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support per care plan, including routine nursing tasks.
• Perform EKGs and interpret basic findings under supervision.
• Collect specimens for lab testing and perform phlebotomy with patient comfort in mind.
• Record vital signs and maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
• Communicate with the care team and ensure HIPAA compliance and patient safety.
• Assist with clerical duties and care coordination as required.
