Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a dedicated patient care technician to support 5C2 Med Surg. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, daily patient care tasks, and clerical duties while maintaining patient records and adherence to HIPAA.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans, monitor patient responses, and ensure safety and comfort. CPR/BLS certification is required, with day shift duties in a patient-centered hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work with neonatal, pediatric and geriatric patients as needed.
• Experience with EKG and phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by performing assigned tasks for patient care plan implementation, taking and recording vital signs, and documenting outcomes.
• Performs diagnostic EKGs: proper placement, testing, and accurate documentation.
• Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy with attention to patient comfort.
• Maintains records and documents activities; answers calls and performs clerical duties as needed.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and collaborates with staff to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
