Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a patient care technician to support clinical staff in Memphis. The role includes performing EKGs, phlebotomy, clerical tasks, and assisting with patient care activities per the care plan.

The position requires an approved medical assistant program or a nursing assistant program with EKG and phlebotomy training, and may involve night shift duties. CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program with EKG/phlebotomy training in lieu of medical assistant training.
• Course requirements for graduation from a Registered Nursing program after unsuccessful 2nd NCLEX attempt.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care activities per care plan and policies.
• Take and record vital signs and administer EKGs as required.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens (urine, stool, sputum) as ordered.
• Provide activities of daily living support and monitor patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records; communicate with care team.
• Assist with clerical duties and scheduling tests; ensure HIPAA and confidentiality compliance.
