Job summary

Allegheny Health Network in Canonsburg, PA is seeking Medical Technologists (Multiple Openings) to perform complex laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. You will verify analytic accuracy and operate laboratory instrumentation to ensure high-quality results.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field, ability to work afternoon/night shifts, and ASCP Board Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist;

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology or a directly related field.
• Must be able to work independently on afternoon and night shifts.
• Must have ASCP Board Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist.
• If applicable, must possess an ICHP VisaScreen Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex medical laboratory procedures using established criteria to provide quality clinical information.
• Verify analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity and linearity for clinical tests.
• Operate, calibrate, check and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
