Job summary

Tulsa Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Building & Grounds Site Supervisor to support the BGSS in daily custodial operations and ensure the facility remains clean and well-maintained.

The role may require boiler and pool licensing responsibilities where applicable, with potential to act as BGSS in their absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year custodial experience.
• 3rd Class Engineers License if applicable.
• Proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Building and Grounds Site Supervisor in daily custodial operations.
• Help ensure the facility is clean and well-maintained; report deficiencies.
• May act as BGSS in their absence and operate boiler or pool if licensed.

Job description

Assistant Building & Grounds Site Supervisor

Grade: Based on school size, number of students, and existence of boiler and/or pool

H-9 ($14.74 - $18.94)
H-10 ($15.38 - $19.78)
H-11 ($16.07 - $21.00)

• 5% shift differential working 2:30 to 11:00 pm (subject to yearly board approval)
• 10% shift differential working 11:00 pm to 7:30 am (subject to yearly board approval)

Tulsa Public Schools’ existing salary schedules provide career increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary: Assists the Building and Grounds Site Supervisor (BGSS) in the day-to-dayoperation of the custodial department and helps insure the general cleanliness and appearanceof the entire facility. This position continuously checks the building and grounds, keeping theBGSS informed of any deficiencies. He/she may be responsible for maintaining a current citylicense to operate the boiler and to maintain the swimming pool if applicable. He/she may berequired to act as the BGSS in their absence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
• One (1) year custodial experience
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
• 3rd Class Engineers License if applicable
• Proficient or willing to learn Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds
