Job summary

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is seeking a Full Time Custodian I in our Custodial Services Department. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and volunteers.

Under general supervision, the Custodian I will perform daily cleaning duties, manage trash, restock supplies, and ensure facilities meet high standards of presentation. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Evening/night/weekend and on-call work may be required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate museum activities.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with DMNS cleaning specifications.
• Maintains cleanliness in guest and staff areas including trash, dusting, vacuuming, and windows.
• Cleans and disinfects fixtures and surfaces throughout the building as directed.
• Empties trash receptacles and disposes of trash throughout the building.
• Restocks supplies and performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
