Job summary

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science is seeking a Full Time Custodian I in the Custodial Services Department. The role focuses on keeping all museum areas clean and presentable for guests, staff and volunteers, under general supervision.

Salary starts at $21.00/hour with a $0.75/hour shift differential for the 4pm–12am shift. Work hours are 3:30pm to 12:00am, with no direct reports and a strong emphasis on safety and guest experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Evening/night/weekend and on-call work may be required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to accommodate museum activities.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning procedures in accordance with DMNS cleaning specifications.
• Responsible for performing custodial duties in guest and staff office areas, including emptying trash, dusting, vacuuming, windows, etc. to ensure consistently clean and safe spaces.
• Cleans and disinfects fixtures and surfaces throughout the building as directed by their supervisor.
• Empties all trash receptacles and disposes of trash throughout the building.
• Restocks supplies as needed throughout the building.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by department supervisor or manager.
