Job summary

Medstar Radiology Network is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a Part-Time position at our outpatient imaging center in Timonium. You will perform a range of MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists to provide high-quality imaging services.

The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, documentation accuracy, and ongoing education for staff and students within a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology or equivalent required.
• ARRT in Radiography or ARMIT; MR advanced registry required within first 12 months if needed.
• Up to 5 years of MRI technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex MRI procedures and acquire images for interpretation.
• Ensure safe per established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain patient care during procedures and provide patient education.
• Record and verify orders in patient records and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Select pulse sequences per protocol and optimize data acquisition for quality images.
• Conduct QA activities and participate in center-wide performance improvements.
