Foundation 2 Crisis Services in Dubuque, IA is hiring for a full-time Crisis Counselor to coordinate and respond to dispatches during the 4:00 PM–12:00 AM shift. Provide compassionate counseling, assist clients with resources, and advocate across social systems while maintaining timely documentation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field, basic computer and data-entry skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field is required.
• Experience or comfort with electronic health record systems.
• Strong written communication and data entry skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by agency policy.
• Background checks required.
• Attend trainings within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and respond to dispatches within the Foundation 2 service area during scheduled hours.
• Provide compassionate, objective, client-centered counseling to individuals.
• Assist individuals and families with connections to local resources and providers.
• Advocate for clients navigating social systems.
• Complete documentation and maintain client files per program policies.
