Job summary

Foundation 2 Crisis Services seeks dedicated crisis counselors to provide compassionate, real-time support via phone, text, and chat from Iowa. You will screen for suicide risk, participate in daytime trainings, and coordinate Mobile Crisis Outreach when needed.

Applicants should reside in IA/IL/WI, hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent, be proficient with Microsoft 365 and EHRs, and demonstrate strong communication and data-entry skills. A hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Live in Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human services or related field; or one year of relevant experience.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft 365, Google Chrome, and EHRs.
• Able to type quickly, multi-task, and perform accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time, compassionate crisis support via phone, text, and chat.
• Screen every contact for suicide risk and safety concerns per protocols.
• Attend daytime trainings and monthly all-staff meetings.
• Dispatch additional client services as needed, e.g., Mobile Crisis Outreach.
• Document each contact to ensure quality record keeping.
