Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to perform testing under CLIA guidelines, supervise laboratory operations, and ensure accurate results and records. A bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and ASCP certification are required, with two years of lab experience preferred.

The role offers a starting rate and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, with pay based on experience, education, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences required
• ASCP-BOC certification required
• 2 years of laboratory experience preferred
• Must understand and follow CLIA policies and SOPs
• Ability to manage specimens, testing, reporting and records accurately

Responsibilities

• Perform waived and non-waived testing according to SOPs
• Carry out tests under CLIA supervision and maintain accurate records
• Supervise day-to-day laboratory operations and staff as delegated
• Ensure quality control and inventory management for testing materials
• Identify and communicate issues affecting test performance or reporting to supervisors
• Complete corrective actions and document deviations from performance specifications
