Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required; ASCP-BOC certification preferred/required.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting 1–2 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and QC procedures.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting and record keeping.
• Maintain proficiency testing and quality control records.
• Adhere to QC policies and calibrations; document corrective actions.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify supervisors.
• Document corrective actions for deviations.
• Rotates every third weekend and holidays.
• May participate in training and competency assessments of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
