Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Troy, MI is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for a 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift with rotating weekends. This role involves testing, instrument troubleshooting, QC, and data entry in a high-volume clinical laboratory.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting (high complexity testing).
• Preferred 3 years of clinical experience, with the most recent year in the same department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology, or an AS/AS degree in Laboratory Science.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all testing areas and troubleshoot instruments/procedures.
• Support QA, QC, instrument maintenance, staff training, and special projects.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOPs and quality control requirements.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System for physician review.
