Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Highland Park Hospital seeks a Mental Health Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. Duties include maintaining a safe milieu, assisting with meals and ADLs, and supporting treatment planning and documentation.

Requires a High School Diploma/GED, CPR and CPI within 90 days, and a minimum of hospital or customer service experience. Shift is full-time with rotating weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to demonstrate de-escalation and behavior management techniques.
• License requirements: CPR certification and CPI within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene/Personal Needs: assist with meals and daily living activities as directed.
• Procedures and Treatments: carry out plan of care, follow infection control standards, assist with vitals and EKG as trained.
• Admission/Discharge/Transfer: orient patients, transport as needed, complete documentation.
• Unit Support: maintain a therapeutic milieu, supervise patients, ensure safety.
• Team Support: communicate with RN, report changes, assist with patient transport.
