Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Part-time Mental Health Technician to join our on-site team. Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm, every other weekend, under RN supervision to support care and comfort for mental health patients.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EMR, answering phones, and maintaining unit safety. Required education includes healthcare program completion or active nursing coursework, CPR certification, and at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Healthcare program completion or active enrollment in core nursing classes.
• Two years of relevant work experience preferred or required depending on role.
• CPR certification required or obtainable during onboarding process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in care and comfort for mental health patients under RN supervision.
• Enter patient orders into the electronic medical record accurately and promptly.
• Answer telephones and direct unit traffic to maintain smooth workflow.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Intervene in difficult situations to ensure safety of all on the unit.
