Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is hiring a Mental Health Tech (MHT) PRN for 2nd Shift (3pm–11:30pm), including weekends, with a shift differential. The MHT will perform direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting, supervise patients, and ensure safety while applying least restrictive interventions whenever possible.

Requirements include HSD/GED; a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires HSD/GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or similar field preferred.
• Experience: six months in residential psychiatry or similar setting preferred.
• Background check: Level 2 background screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, educational settings, and activities of daily living.
• Monitor safety and implement least restrictive interventions; avoid seclusion and restraint where possible.
