Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services, is hiring a Mental Health Technician for the 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm) on a PRN basis. The role involves direct patient care, supervision, and ensuring safety in a residential setting, with emphasis on least restrictive interventions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor preferred), plus healthcare experience and a Level 2 background check.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Preferred: Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or like field.
• Experience: six months in residential psychiatry or similar childcare setting.
• Background: pass Level 2 Background Screening.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervise patients in treatment, recreation, education, and daily living activities.
• Ensure patient safety and apply least restrictive interventions to avoid seclusion and restraint.
• Support ongoing treatment plans and therapeutic boundaries during and after treatment.
