Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center in Bradenton, FL is hiring a Mental Health Tech to work 3p-11:30pm on Fridays through Mondays. You will provide direct patient care, participate in group treatment, and help maintain a therapeutic milieu for adolescents aged 11–17 with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, supporting treatment plans, and collaborating with the care team in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Bachelor degree in psychology, sociology, social work or similar field (salary increase potential).
• Experience: preferred six months in residential psychiatry or childcare facility.
• Background check: Level 2 background screening required by Florida AHCA.
• Pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adolescents with psychiatric/behavioral health needs.
• Conduct group treatment sessions and support therapeutic milieu.
• Ensure safety and well‑being of patients and maintain therapeutic boundaries.
• Assist with treatment plans and communicate with care team.
