Job summary

Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician (MHT) PRN for 2nd shift (3pm–11:30pm) including weekends. The MHT provides direct patient care, supervises patients in treatments and activities, and ensures safety with least restrictive interventions.

Requirements include HS Diploma or GED; preferred Bachelor’s in psychology or related field; six months’ experience in residential psychiatry or similar setting; Level 2 background

Qualifications

• HSD/GED REQUIRED.
• Preferred: Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, human services or like field.
• Experience: Preferred six month's experience in residential psychiatry or other childcare facility/agency experience in comparable position.
• Background: Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Mental Health Technician performs direct patient care duties in a residential behavioral health setting.
• Supervises the patient in treatment, recreation, educational settings, and activities of daily living.
• Ensures patient safety and uses least restrictive interventions per policy.
