Job summary

KVC Health Systems is seeking a full-time Mental/Behavioral Health Technician in Columbia, MO, to meet the physical and emotional needs of clients. You will work overnight shifts from 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM, providing essential support in a residential treatment setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide meals and snacks to clients.

Job Summary

As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Responsibilities
Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:
  • Providing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Monitoring medication
  • Intervening in crisis situations
Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:
  • Creating a positive and supportive environment
  • Managing conflictEnforcing house rules
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including:Attending treatment team meetings
  • Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans
Qualifications

  • Class E driver's license with good driving record
