Job summary

KVC Health Systems is seeking a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in Columbia, MO. The role supports clients’ physical and emotional needs, participates in a multidisciplinary team, and helps implement treatment plans in a residential setting.

Salary ranges from $18.00 to $21.65 per hour with a $1000 sign-on bonus. Benefits include health/dental/vision, PTO accrual, sick time, a 403(b) match, tuition and licensure reimbursements, and employee assistance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• 22+ and legal ability to work independently per state rules.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Proven time management and organization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide for physical and emotional needs of clients, including meals and care.
• Monitor medications and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
• Support a healthy group living environment and enforce house rules.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary treatment team and attend meetings.
• Assist with treatment plan input and implementation.

Job Summary:

As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Responsibilities:

Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:

• Providing meals and snacks
• Assisting with personal care
• Monitoring medication
• Intervening in crisis situations

Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:

• Creating a positive and supportive environment
• Managing conflictEnforcing house rules
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients, including:Attending treatment team meetings
• Providing input on treatment plansImplementing treatment plans

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Class E driver's license with good driving record
• Strong customer service focus
• Excellent time management
• Oral and written communication skills
• Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
• Must be 21 years old to apply
