Job summary

KVC Health Systems, Inc. is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Wyandotte House QRTP in Kansas City, KS.

You’ll support youth in a residential setting, teaching life skills and modeling positive behavior to promote emotional well-being. The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus for new employees, plus generous benefits including paid time off, parental leave, health/dental/vision & life insurance, tuition reimbursement up to $21,000, licensure reimbursement, and a 403b with company

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience with children or in behavioral health is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

About the Job:

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll be at the heart of supporting and guiding youth in a residential care setting. This isn't just a job; it's a chance to provide compassion, care, and make a real difference in the lives of young people.

What You Will Do:

• Supervise and ensure youth's basic needs are met while teaching them valuable life skills.
• Model positive behavior, problem-solving techniques, and promote emotional well-being.
• Keep the environment safe and supportive.
• Provide transportation to appointments and help facilitate social-emotional skill-building activities.

Your Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday 2-10:30pm or Saturday and Sunday 6am-10:30pm

What We're Looking For:

• A high school diploma (or GED) and a passion for working with youth.
• Previous experience working with children or in a behavioral health setting is a plus!
• Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and you must be at least 21 years old.
• The willingness to complete required training and documentation.
