Job summary

Spring Arbor of Anderson is seeking a compassionate Medication Assistant to provide hands-on support with medications and daily care for residents. You will work as part of a supportive team to create a welcoming environment and ensure high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with medications per state guidelines, supporting activities of daily living, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and documenting care accurately. Strong communication with staff and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience working with senior adults is highly preferred.
• CNA/NA certification or licensure may be required depending on state regulations.
• Current Medication Training certification required.
• Must be in good standing with the applicable state licensing/certifying agency, if applicable.
• Must successfully complete a criminal background screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required by state regulations.
• Previous experience with electronic/computerized resident documentation systems is preferred.
• Must be dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional resident care.
• Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications in accordance with state guidelines.
• Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transfers, positioning, and incontinence care.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents.
• Communicate closely with Resident Services associates to ensure consistent, quality care.
• Participate in and assist with resident activities.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and fellow associates.
• Provide friendly, professional, and compassionate customer service.
• Complete resident documentation and other duties as assigned.
