Arbors of Ohio is seeking a Medication Assistant to coordinate and administer medication to residents in our care. The role emphasizes accurate medication administration, documentation, and timely communication with health care providers.

Qualifications

• Assists in administering prescribed medications per physician orders.
• Maintains accurate medication administration records and documentation in electronic health records.
• Works as part of a team to deliver patient-centered care and communicate effectively with residents and families.

Responsabilités

• Follow the rights of medication administration and promptly implement physician orders.
• Administer medications for assigned residents and document administrations or refusals.
• Report medication refusals, errors, or changes in condition to appropriate health care providers.
• Notify prescribing clinician if PRN medications are needed for an extended period.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training.
• Ensure supplies and equipment are clean, safe, and used economically.
• Record pertinent observations and reactions to residents.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
