Job summary

Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, Inc. is seeking a Registered Medication Aide to support residents who require assistance with daily living and 24-hour supervision. The position is Full-Time, Evening Shift from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Compensation starts at $17.99 to $23.66 per hour based on experience, plus a $2.00 shift premium. No advanced nursing degree required. VMRC offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must have one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant License in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Direct Care Staff Certificate, or have completed an approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training program.
• Current Medication Administration License in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or ability to obtain within 90 days from course completion).
• CPR and First-Aid certified or obtain certifications at VMRC within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents who are physically, functionally, or socially impaired with activities of daily living.
• Encourage resident independence and freedom of choice while assisting with daily activities.
• Act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
• Work closely with staff, residents, and families in a calm, respectful manner.

Education

High school graduate or GED equivalent preferred

Certified Nursing Assistant License in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Direct Care Staff Certificate

Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training program

Current Medication Administration License in the Commonwealth of Virginia

CPR and First-Aid certification
