Responsibilities

• Pre-analytical specimen processing including identification and accessioning.
• Analytic testing on patient specimens with result verification.
• Quality control and ensuring results meet criteria.
• Instrument maintenance and documenting issues.
• STAT testing priorities within policy definitions.
• Reviewing results for critical values before release to clinicians.
• Maximizing LIS usage and reporting issues to IT.
• Participation in proficiency testing and learning from reports.
• Demonstrating initiative to assist with heavier workloads.
• Adhering to safety practices and PPE guidelines.
• Demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
