Beth Israel Lahey Health in Winchester, MA, seeks a Medical Technologist (Generalist) for per diem day shifts. The MT will independently perform tests across Hematology, Chemistry, and Blood Bank, with on-site supervision as needed and a focus on timely, accurate patient results.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in science or grandfathered qualifications; eligible for MT registry, with ASCP registration preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in science required or grandfathered qualifications.
• Grandfathered: 2-year science degree with pre-1980 clinical experience or MLT certification pre-1980.
• Medical Technologist registry eligible required; ASCP registration preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares specimens per lab orders.
• Performs tests with manual or automated methods ensuring specimen integrity.
• Performs QC checks and equipment maintenance to high quality standards.
• Handles supply and equipment issues for continuous operation.
• Inputs results into EMR and expedites critical results to clinicians.
• Calibrates reagents and troubleshoots test anomalies.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and documents QC activities.
• Runs reports to verify operational performance and answers status requests.
