Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. The role includes per diem night shifts and adherence to all regulatory policies.

You will process specimens, interpret results, and communicate critical findings to the care team. Requirements include an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science, at least two years of lab experience, and ASCP/CLT/NCA

Qualifications

• Perform basic laboratory procedures.
• Interpret results and assess accuracy and critical limits.
• Communicate clearly by phone and in person.
• Understand method principles and perform intermediate math.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review requests and specimens per policy; reject unacceptable specimens.
• Analyze test results and report critical values promptly to care teams.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment; monitor supplies and logs.
• Train new staff on procedures under supervision.
