Job summary

Intermountain Health in Utah is seeking a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform a variety of laboratory tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion services. The role emphasizes quality control, proficiency testing, calibrations, record review and instrument troubleshooting to ensure accurate patient results.

The position is evenings, 20 hours per week, in Saratoga Springs. Eligible benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; accredited program.
• BOC-eligible or ASCP certification required within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of lab tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, transfusion and more.
• Interpret and report test results for patient care decisions.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform quality control.
• Prepare samples following proper protocols to avoid contamination.
• Document data accurately and prepare detailed reports for providers.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a sterile laboratory environment.
