The position requires MLS certification or equivalent, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology science or related field from an accredited institution.
• Education verification may be required for chemical, physical, biological sciences.
• Completion of MLS program coursework and internship; eligibility to sit for the BOC.
• ASCP or equivalent MLS certification; must be maintained.
• Flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends, holidays, nights and on-call.
• Montana licensure required for Montana applicants.
• Foreign transcript evaluation may be required for foreign applicants.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers where required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids.
• Interpret and analyze test results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure accuracy of results.
• Prepare and handle samples following proper protocols.
• Accurately record test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain safety protocols and sterile laboratory environment.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals on patient care decisions.
