Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare in Saratoga Springs, UT, is seeking a Medical Technologist/MLS to perform a variety of lab tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion services.

You will operate and maintain complex equipment, ensure quality control, prepare samples, record data, and report results to care teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in clinical laboratory/medical technology, MLS program completion, ASCP certification, and flexibility for evenings and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology science or chemical, physical, biological, or equivalent.
• MLS program completion with eligibility to sit for the BOC.
• ASCP certification or equivalent certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and transfusion services.
• Analyzing test results to provide accurate data for patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment with proper calibration.
• Quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
• Preparing and handling samples following proper protocols.
• Recording data and reporting results to healthcare providers.
• Maintaining laboratory safety and assisting in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Collaborating with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals on test results.
