Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in Hackensack, NJ, a hospital-based role at HUMC. Expect 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shifts, with one weekend per month and some overnight fill-ins.

Competitive pay range and shift differentials are described in the posting. This position emphasizes testing of moderate to high complexity, quality control responsibilities, and collaboration with supervisory and clinical teams to ensure accurate patient results.

Competenze

• One year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory with high-complexity testing.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry, or an equivalent credential.
• ASCP Certification is preferred.

Mansioni

• Perform test procedures of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Support quality control, troubleshooting, instrument maintenance, and staff training.
• Perform and report analytical tests per SOP and ensure QC requirements are met.
• Adhere to laboratory policies for specimen handling, processing, and recordkeeping.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System for physician review.
• Maintain safe, clean laboratory areas and complete training/competency checklists.
