Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II in Hackensack, NJ, a hospital-based position at HUMC. You will perform moderate/high complexity tests with independent judgment and maintain quality control across procedures.

The role requires at least 1 year of full-time clinical lab experience, with a preference for 3 years in the current department. It includes a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift with potential weekend rotation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-time experience or training in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Preferred 3 years clinical experience, with most current year in the present department.
• BS/BA in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology or an Associates degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide credential evaluation if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests of moderate/high complexity with independent judgment.
• Troubleshoot instruments/procedures and assist with QA QC.
• Enter results into LIS and maintain documentation.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements.
