Job summary

Penn State Health Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Medical Lab Technician for the Automated Testing Lab. This part-time position (0.50 FTE) in Hershey, PA, evenings, offers shift differential and the opportunity to perform complex lab tests on blood and body fluids.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with required chemistry and biology coursework or equivalent.
• Certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• International-education equivalency documentation may be required for non-US trained applicants.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells, and tissues.
• Identify microorganisms and analyze chemical content of fluids.
• Cross match blood for transfusion and prepare cells for cellular therapies.
