Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support clinical and front office operations in our Northern Virginia urgent care centers. The role emphasizes patient flow, accurate documentation, and a welcoming patient experience.

The position offers an hourly wage of $20–$28 with evening shifts (6:00pm–10:00pm), primarily Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and weekend coverage as needed. Comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's/CMA certification not required but preferred? (permitted)
• Proficiency in clinical duties and medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographics, insurance, and eligibility.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history.
• Measure vital signs and perform point-of-care tests.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory.
• Support front desk duties and patient communication.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and end-of-day reconciliation.
