Job summary

Rutgers University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Technician I for Midstate Correctional Facility in Wrightstown, NJ. The role supports a clinical and administrative medical team, performing vital signs, specimen collection, and medication handling.

The ideal candidate holds CMA/EMT/CNA certification, CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and at least two years of related healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Valid CMA/EMT/CNA certification
• CPR Certification
• Driver’s License required
• Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience in related roles

Responsibilities

• Takes vital signs, height and weight and documents in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assists the physician/advanced practitioner with procedures and prepares inmates for examinations.
• Obtains specimen collection and handling, including drawing blood.
• Assists with cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
• Maintains or assists in maintaining supply stock in the Health Service Unit and examination rooms.
• Aggregates medication orders and forwards to the pharmacy provider/local pharmacy.
