Job summary

Pima Medical Institute, Seattle campus, seeks an experienced Medical Assistant Instructor for a part-time evening schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM). The role involves leading classroom lectures, supervising labs, mentoring students, and coordinating with campus leadership.

Candidates should have a Medical Assistant credential, CMA/RMA certification, and WA MA-C licensure or equivalent. Strong teaching skills and prior instructional experience are preferred; MS Office and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by USDE or CHEA and three years of full-time MA experience.
• Or a minimum of three years of job-related training and experience for non-accredited graduates.
• National certification CMA or RMA.
• Active WA MA-C credential or license as required by state law.
• Technical skills: MS Office, video conferencing tools, and general digital tools.
• Preferred: prior classroom/clinical teaching/mentoring experience.
• Schedule: Part-Time Evening Schedule (Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery & Student Mentorship.
• Lesson Execution: Deliver lesson plans across program modules.
• Objective Planning: Plan instruction to achieve learning outcomes.
• Classroom & Lab Leadership: Lead lectures and supervise labs (phlebotomy, vitals, EKGs, injections).
• Academic Administration & Student Support: Evaluation, grading, and advising.
• Record Keeping: Maintain attendance and grade logs.
• Departmental & Program Operations: Enrichment and interdepartmental coordination.
• Faculty Engagement: Participate in meetings and workshops.
• Externships: Assist with supervision and placement oversight.
